Brighton boss Graham Potter Potter: Lewis Dunk knows tackle on Gary Cahill was ‘not good’

Brighton manager Graham Potter has admitted that the tackle made by Lewis Dunk on Gary Cahill that earned his captain a red card used “excessive force”.
Dunk was sent off in added-time as the Seagulls scored late to equalise against Crystal Palace. His dived in two-footed as Cahill tried to clear a corner.
Potter said: “You’re right [it was a bad tackle]. It was a reckless challenge, it was excessive force.
“Lewis, he’s had a header and tried to block something. It’s something that we will have to learn from. It was not a good challenge.
“I have spoken to him and he knows it’s not good. He’s a nice guy and knows he’s got it wrong.”
