Woman killed in fatal collision in Hammersmith
A woman in her 70s has died after she was hit by a lorry in Hammersmith.
Emergency services were called to Shepherd’s Bush Road at around midday on Wednesday to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.
The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but was pronounced dead at around 2.30pm.
A Metropolitan Police statement said: “Police were called at 11:54hrs on Wednesday, 4 November to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian on Shepherds Bush Road, W6.
“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.
“A woman, believed to be in her 70s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at 14:32hrs.
“Her next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.”
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.
