Liz West unveils her immersive art installation in Greenwich
An immersive art installation has been unveiled in Greenwich, adding a bit of colour to locals’ daily walks.
Liz West’s Hundreds and Thousands will cover the glass on The Tide – a walkway on Greenwich peninsular that has a view of the Thames.
The artist said she hoped the work would trigger feelings of wellbeing and joy.
She added: “Hundreds and Thousands unveils unexpected delights for the senses, much like encountering the overwhelming cacophony of colour and shapes when walking into a sweet shop; the multicoloured pattern never repeats itself; juicy reflections on nearby surfaces; a spectral sundial on a sunny day.”
