As the weather gets warmer and lockdown restrictions ease, it is time to celebrate by wearing bright patterns and chunky jewellery. South London is a hub for emerging talent, with areas like Peckham and Camberwell boasting some of the most exciting emerging designers. This month we feature the work of three different creatives who are producing beautiful products all based south of the river.

Fiona O’Neill Studio
South London-based designer Fiona O’Neill’s self-named label launched in 2019 and is already making waves in the fashion world.
Fiona works to source and use eco-friendly materials in her designs, working towards further sustainability for the future.
All printing is done at the studio in Peckham Levels on Rye Lane, Peckham.

Faith Ams
Mental health researcher, Faith Ams created her small business at the start of the pandemic.
Initially starting with handmade face masks, Faith now sells tote bags, cushions and bralettes, all via her Etsy online store.
Faith uses beautiful African print fabrics that she gets from her aunt’s fabric shop in Deptford (Rose’s African Fabrics), as well as limited edition sustainable fabrics.

Isabel Bonner Studio
Founded in 2018, Isabel Bonner Studio is based in Camberwell.
Her most recent collection, called Isabel Bonner Collection II, sees the designer hone her signatures with a focus on reviving classic styles including pearl earrings to studs and hoops.
Playing with negative space, balance and bold simplicity, the pieces recall references from Brutalist architecture to modernist design.
