South London’s Jadon Sancho named in England’s squad for European Championships
South London-born Jadon Sancho has been named in England’s 26-man squad for the European Championships, which start later this month.
The 21-year-old has made 18 appearances for his country and scored three goals.
Sancho, who was raised in Kennington, has also played for England at U17 and U19 level.
Ex-Millwall loanee Harry Kane is set to captain England at the Euros.
Kyle Walker, who was on loan at QPR in the 2010-11 season has also been included in the squad.
Former AFC Wimbledon loanee Aaron Ramsdale has failed to make the cut after initially being in the 33-man provisional squad.
Gareth Southgate’s side will play international friendlies against Austria and Romania before England begin their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia at Wembley Stadium on June 13.
The Three Lions are in Group D, and will face Scotland, Croatia and Czech Republic.
