Crystal Palace duo earn international call ups

Jordan Ayew and Cheikhou Kouyate have received calls up to the Ghana and Senegal’s international squads respectively.

Ayew made his first senior appearance for Ghana in 2010, a 3-0 win against Swaziland.

The 29-year-old has gone on to make 64 appearances and scored 18 goals for his country.

The Black Stars take on Morocco and Ivory Coast in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia in September.

Kouyate’s Senegal face Zambia and Cape Verde in international friendlies before their World Cup qualifiers against Togo and Congo in September.

The 31-year-old made his international debut in February 2012 in a 0-0 draw against South Africa.

The former West Ham player has made 67 appearances for his country and scored three goals.
