Danny Mills on target as Dulwich Hamlet take a point on opening day in National League South
Dulwich Hamlet kicked off their 2021-22 National League South season with a 1-1 draw at home against Chippenham Town on Saturday.
Hamlet were without manager Gavin Rose as he is recovering from Covid-19.
The hosts started brightly and had the first chance of the match, former Crystal Palace midfielder Giovanni McGregor tested the keeper from a free-kick.
McGregor went close again a few minutes later, his long-range effort was well saved by Henry in the Chippenham goal.
Hamlet took the lead in the 16th minute when Darren McQueen’s cross found the head of Danny Mills, who nodded home from close range.
The visitors got back on level terms when Marlon Jackson equalised from the spot in the 55th minute.
