Man arrested after 42-year-old assaulted on Beckenham High Street
A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a man in his 40s was assaulted on Beckenham High Street on Sunday.
The 42-year-old had been left hospitalised in a critical condition after being assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Following an appeal for information, the 26 year old went to a South London police station.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and bailed to a date in mid-November pending further enquiries.
Cops were called at 1.22am to the High Street, Beckenham, on October 18 after reports of an assault.
The 42-year-old man was found with serious head injuries.
He remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Detectives are still keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the assault. Information can be provided by calling police on 101 and giving the reference 536/17Oct.
