QPR’s players had ‘heated discussion’ after dropping points at Blackpool
Mark Warburton was frustrated that QPR dropped two points against Blackpool – and added that his players had a “heated discussion” after the final whistle.
Chris Willock’s superb strike had given the R’s the lead before Gary Madine made no mistake from the penalty spot just after the restart.
When asked about Blackpool’s disallowed goal that should’ve stood, Warburton said: “We’ve had enough decisions go against us this season. Let’s just say it’s evened itself out.
“The truth is we’re in the dressing room having a heated discussion because we’re frustrated at dropping two points.
“The goal we conceded was a mistake that’s cost us. Yoann’s [Barbet] played every minute of every game, but the players are human and that’s a mistake that’s cost us. He knows that and doesn’t need to be told. That’s the frustration.
“It’s a tough place to come to. I’ve no doubt that teams will find it tough to take points here. It’s magnificent in terms of the atmosphere they create. You’ve got to deal with that.
“We’re pleased it’s [the international break] come around again. The schedule is really demanding and it’s about getting players back now and getting training time.
“Some of the players are on international duty and we hope they come back fit and well.”
