Female jogger raped on early morning run on Streatham Common

A woman has been attacked and raped by an unknown man on Streatham Common who is described as tall and with an ‘athletic build’.

The woman was running a route into Streatham Common via Streatham Common North at around 5:00am on Thursday, December 23, when she was assaulted.

After the attack, the suspect is reported to have run away in the direction of Sainsbury’s in Streatham High Road.

He is described as a tall male of athletic build, who was wearing dark clothing with a hood and face covering and gloves.

He was also wearing white scruffy trainers and is described as having an English accent.

The incident was reported to police on December 28.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who was on Streatham Common on December 23 between 5am and 7am, who saw someone matching the description.
