QPR duo Ilias Chair and Seny Dieng have both progressed to the knockout stages of the African Cup of Nations with their respective countries.
After starting Senegal’s first two matches, Dieng dropped to the bench and was replaced by returning Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who had been self isolating due to Covid-19.
The Lions of Teranga drew 0-0 with Malawi and finished top of Group H with 16 points from six matches.

Morocco’s game against Gabon finished 2-2 as they also secured top spot, after winning all six of their matches to finish with maximum points.
R’s midfielder Chair was replaced after 31 minutes by Selim Amallah, reports claimed the substitution was purely tactical.
QPR are being linked with a move for Swansea City’s Jamie Paterson, who is reportedly not happy with the Welsh club’s new contract offer.
According to Wales Online, the R’s have competition from Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers to land the 30-year-old.
QPR travel to the Ricoh Arena to face Coventry City next in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.
