Violent thug who bit and punched police officers pleads guilty to ABH

A violent racist thug who bit one police officer and punched another in the face has pleaded guilty to a litany of offences.

Syed Ali, 26, attacked two policers when they tried to remove him from a bus at Greenwich bus station.

The officers spent 30 minutes trying to reason with him at 6am on Monday September 24.

Ali, of no fixed abode, then launched himself at one officer, punching him in the face, smashing his glasses and causing his nose to bleed.

His attention then turned to another officer who he swore at with a torrent of racial abuse.

Once in custody, he continued acting aggressively. During a search, he bit a third male officer on his right arm, causing it to bleed.

Ali appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday September 25. He pleaded guilty to:

– Criminal damage to a police cell;
– Racially / religiously aggravated harassment;
– Possession of a cannabis, a Class B drug;
– One count of assault on police;
– One count of ABH on police

Ali was bailed with conditions to appear at a Woolwich Crown Court at a date to be confirmed.
