Man sought in connection with sex assault at Peckham bus stop

Police investigating a sexual assault in Southwark are releasing an image of a man they would like to identify.

At around 2am on Saturday, July 23, a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted by a man at a bus stop in Lordship Lane, Peckham.

The woman then boarded a number 12 bus. During the journey she was sexually assaulted again by the same man. She reported the incident to police the following day.

Detectives have carried out a number of enquiries and are now appealing for the public’s help to find a man who was captured on CCTV boarding the bus.

He is described as black, approximately 5ft 8in tall, and with afro hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie with rainbow-coloured writing on the front.
