AFC Wimbledon intent on bouncing back after 10-game unbeaten run ended

AFC Wimbledon will look to bounce back against Grimbsy Town on Saturday after their 10-game unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end last time out against Chesterfield.

The Dons are unbeaten in six League Two games and are five points behind the play-off places.

“We’ll approach the games in December as we did in November, and that’s to try and win every game that we play,” said Dons boss Johnnie Jackson.

“I’ll try and utilise my squad because December is going to be manic.

“We’re still in the EFL Trophy, so we have got that and a lot of league games in December.

“We will pick the team that we think can do the business. Nothing will change on the back of Saturday – we will look to carry on our unbeaten run in the league.”

Dulwich-born defender Paul Kalambayi, pictured, has started the last eight games in the league, with the Dons keeping a clean sheet in their previous three outings in the fourth division.

“Paul has been great,” added Jackson. “He found himself out of the team and had an injury setback. He had to bide his time, but he got himself in the team now and he is performing well.

“He, like any other player, needs to keep his level of performance. I’m quite simple as a manager, if you’re playing well and you’re in the team, you keep the shirt – that’s how I operate.”
