Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing on bus

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing aboard a number 50 bus.

Monior Saleh, 35, of Verran Road, Balham, was charged yesterday with attempted murder and possession of a knife.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court today.

Police were called to Streatham High Road at 2.25pm on Wednesday following reports that a man had been stabbed on a bus.

Officers attended. A man in his 50s – a passenger on the bus – was found with stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as non-life threatening.
