Bolton chasing double striker swoop before Charlton clash
Charlton Athletic’s opponents tomorrow, Bolton Wanderers, could possibly have two new additions to their squad before the clash at The Valley.
The Bolton News are reporting that the Trotters are chasing deals to sign Cameron Jerome from Luton Town and Victor Adeboyejo from Burton Albion.
Ex-Crystal Palace forward Jerome, 36, has made 21 substitute appearances this season for the Hatters in the Championship.
Jerome has nearly 350 Football League appearances to his name.
“I have been a busy man all week,” said Bolton boss Ian Evatt.
“There are things developing all the time.
“There is progress and the potential we could have one or two new faces in before the weekend. We are working extremely hard to make that happen.”
Adeboyejo has scored 13 times this season for Burton in League One and is thought to be close to a move to the University of Bolton Stadium after the Wanderers triggered his reported £500,000 release clause.
The 25-year-old had been close to a move to the Championship to join Wigan Athletic earlier in the window.
Former Millwall forward Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
Bolton – fifth in League One – won the reverse fixture 3-1 back in September.
Both deals would have to be registered before midday today in order for the players to be included in the matchday squad for tomorrow’s game.
