Agent: I had clubs interested in signing Fulham hit in this transfer window
Willian’s agent Kia Joorabchian says he had two ‘top clubs’ interested in signing the Fulham forward in this January transfer window.
But he also confirmed the 34-year-old would remain with Marco Silva’s side for the rest of the season.
Ex-Chelsea and Arsenal man Willian has been a revelation this season for Fulham. He has three goals and two assists in 14 Premier League appearances.
It is reported that Fulham would be open to extending Willian’s stay at Craven Cottage beyond his current deal, which is set to expire at the end of this season.
The Cottagers are seventh in the Premier League and take on Sunderland in the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend.
“Willian and Andreas Pereira are two great examples at Fulham that have absolutely blossomed,” said Joorabchian, who was speaking to TalkSport about his clients.
“I think 99 per cent of people would have said that he [Willian] was finished when he left Arsenal: ‘He’s finished – he’s done. His career is over.’
“Yesterday, we got a call from two top clubs. One said: ‘This guy never ages.’ The other said: ‘He’s like peter pan. How much would it cost to pull him out?’
“We said: ‘It’s not happening – he is staying at Fulham.’
