Double murderer Lee Peacock given 39-year jail term
A jealous man who killed his ex-partner after his release from prison, and a man he believed she might have been seeing, has been jailed for 39 years.
Lee Peacock, 50, of Harrow Road, Maida Hill, appeared at the Old Bailey to learn his fate for the murders of Sharon Pickles and Clinton Ashmore.
He was given a 39-year tariff for both murders. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Peacock was convicted of both murders following trial at the same court yesterday.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “What Lee Peacock did will haunt the families and loved ones of the victims for years to come. It is right that he will spend many years facing the consequences of his actions.
“Our thoughts are with the families today. I sincerely hope that the sentence brings them a small measure of comfort.”
