18-year-old arrested in South London on terrorism offences
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of terrorism offences.
Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command arrested an 18-year-old man at an address in south London on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism, contrary to section 2 of the Terrorism Act, 2006.
He was detained under PACE and has been taken to a south London police station where he currently remains in police custody.
Officers are searching two addresses in south and south east London in connection with the investigation.
Enquiries continue.
