Charlton Athletic loanee from last season released after returning to parent club

Charlton Athletic loanee from last season Todd Kane has been released by Coventry City after they missed out on promotion to the Premier League.

The 29-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at The Valley, but only made five appearances under Dean Holden after he suffered a hamstring injury in the 2-0 win against Barnsley.

Kane has had spells at QPR, Blackburn, Oxford United, Hull and Bristol City during his career.

Fankaty Dabo, Julien Dacosta, Sean Maguire, Michael Rose, Martyn Waghorn and Tyler Walker have also been released by the Sky Blues.

Defender Kane joined Coventry at the start of the 2021-22 season and scored one goal in 41 appearances.
