Police in Charlton get a shock when they case the joint

Police were called to reports of a burglary early this morning – only to find that what had been stolen was a load of cannabis plants.

The call was made at roughly 1am on Friday and police arrived at the address in Charlton shortly afterwards.

Initial reports from the police say that upon arrival at the address in Charlton, officers found the front door of the house forced open. Inside the property they found a cannabis factory with a number of plants apparently missing from the grow.

So far no arrests have been made and a crime scene is in place. Enquiries continue.
