Keep the little ones moving this summer with an Afro-Cuban dance festival
This summer, youngsters are invited to get inspired by Afro-Cuban culture through dance, poetry and music.
Taking place from July 11 to 13, Acosta Dance Centre in Artillery Square, Woolwich Royal Arsenal, will host ‘Alafia’ for Kids.
Part of the company’s annual Alafia Afro-Cuban Dance Festival, Alafia for Kids transports children to an Afro-Cuban paradise, through Afro-Cuban dance and theatre.
Over three days, attendees will enjoy dance, music, crafts and story telling to spark their imagination and cultural awareness.
Each day features a different hands-on activity, from mask making and bracelet crafting to Afro-Cuban rhythms and River Dances.
Alafia’ for Kids is for children aged between six and 12 years old with tickets priced at £5 for the entire festival.
