Camberwell Leisure Centre offers chance to become a lifeguard this half-term
For those looking to train as a lifeguard, Camberwell Leisure Centre is offering fully funded places on a National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification this October half-term.
The course will take place from October 21-25, with the assessment taking place on the final day.
All spaces are free thanks to funding from Southwark council’s Positive Futures Fund, offering young people the chance to train to be a fully qualified lifeguard.
Attendees need to be 16+ toundertake this nationally accredited course and be good swimmers – including being able to swim 50m in less than a minute and able to tread water for more than 30 seconds.
Those that complete and pass the course will then be able to apply for aaemployment through Everyone Active at one of the five facilities they operate in Southwark where there is a swimming pool.
This could be full-time, part-time, casually or via our apprenticeship scheme.
