Lewisham man held on suspicion of murder after man stabbed to death in Cricklewood

A Lewisham man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 42-year-old man was stabbed to death in north London.

Lennox Nigel Alcendor, from Harlesden, was found suffering from a stab wound at around 6.45am in Cricklewood on Friday. He was pronounced dead at the scene 45 minutes later.

The suspect, also 42, was arrested today at an address in Lewisham and taken into custody, where he remains.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe said: “Our investigation is moving at pace and though an arrest has been made, I remain keen on hearing from anyone who witnessed the incident, which took place in a residential street.

“I am sure that there are people who have not yet spoken to us but may have important information about what unfolded.

“Every call is treated in the strictest confidence, and your information could help hugely. Please don’t hesitate to make the call.”
