Changes to the way Bexley residents access the borough’s reuse and recycling centres will come into force from next month.

I am writing to highlight the proposed closure of rail ticket offices that will have a devastating impact on blind and partially sighted people’s ability to travel independently: stopping people getting to work, health appointments, and seeing friends.

Wandsworth Town Business Improvement District (BID) is bringing a new digital town centre hub called We Are Wandsworth Town.

Last month, the Government announced proposals to permanently shut down nearly 1,000 ticket offices nationwide, including many such services across South London, including Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town in my own Battersea constituency.

This may sound drastic, but automated phone systems resemble a society without human connection, and offer a despairing glimpse of where we’re heading.

With the school summer holidays now well under way, lots of parents will be wondering about what age it’s safe to leave their children unsupervised.

We’re inviting people to go the extra mile on Sunday, September 24 and take on the London Bridges Wellness Walk, a sponsored walk through the heart of the capital city.

Our local rail services are crucial for residents travelling to work, for parents and pupils travelling to and from school, to visit friends and family and for shopping and leisure. Labour is committed to returning train services to democratic ownership.
