Timo Werner scores as Chelsea cruise to 4-0 win over Shrimpers in FA Cup at the Bridge

Timo Werner scored his first goal in 12 games which, some wags might claim was the the shock of the FA Cup 3rd round, but his goal, the second of four for the Blues was enough to settle any nerves and set the Stamford Bridge outfit up for a secure 4-0 win over League Two Morecambe.
German Werner was on the spot to tap home just before the break at the end of the first half.

Chelsea crash at home losing 3-1 to Man City at the Bridge and drop to eighth in the Premier League

Chelsea were thrashed 3-1 by Manchester City this evening at Stamford Bridge to drop to eighth in the Premier League.

Apart from a possible penalty call for Timo Werner early on, this was as an abject performance that has graced the hallowed turf in SW6 in many a decade.

Callum Hudson-Odoi gave the Blues a consolation goal deep into added time, but it failed to cover up what was a torrid opening first half, that only marginally improved in the second half.
