Town hall bosses refuse to name politicians who summonsed to court over not paying their council tax

Town hall chiefs are refusing to name councillors who failed to pay council tax during the last three years, including two who were summonsed to court. Five councillors for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea failed to make council tax payments between January 2018 and January 2021 but the authority will not say who they are.

Dulwich families with young children urge residents not to drive: ‘It’s cleaner, healthier and it’s fun’

Children, parents and grandparents showed their support for measures to make walking and cycling safer – in opposition to one by pensioners hours later. Children from schools in Dulwich celebrated a road scheme, the Low Traffic Neighbourhood, to recognise how much safer their journey to school is, as well as the benefits to their health.

Loo dumped in the street

A brazen fly-tipper has dumped a toilet at the “bottom” of a South London street – and it does not seem to be from a convenience store. The toilet, above, appeared on Friday in Freshford Street in Summerstown, Wandsworth – casting more doubt over the council’s control over fly-tipping in the area.
