The testing centre, at Deptford Lounge, will open on Monday and provide tests that take no longer than 30 minutes to get results.
Cases of the South African Covid-19 strain have been found in parts of West Norwood and some streets in Streatham – so town hall chiefs are urging residents to fix up a test as soon as possible – whether they have symptoms or not.

Court documents reveal the highly emotive and unusual case concerning the 80-year-old from London, who cannot be identified for legal reasons.
The council was also threatened with court action when they closed schools early before Christmas.
