Following a question about London’s economic recovery from the pandemic and a funding deal for TfL, the Prime Minister said that “the current Labour mayor” had “decided to blow” TfL money on “an irresponsible fares policy”.

Park bosses urge Londoners to keep social distancing ahead of Monday’s restriction easing

Visitors to London’s open spaces are being urged to follow social distancing rules this weekend to prevent a spike in Covid-19 infections. Under the Government’s Roadmap, on Monday people will be able to meet outside in groups up to six, or with one other household – but those from different households will still need to socially distance from each other.

Hundreds given Covid vaccine after Croydon Mosque is turned into ‘pop-up’ clinic

More than 400 people were given the Covid-19 vaccination after a Croydon mosque was turned into a NHS ‘pop-up’ clinic on Saturday. The NHS in South West London teamed up with Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre (CMIC) to offer the coronavirus vaccine between 1.15pm and 4pm to anyone aged over 50 or in an ‘at risk’ group over the age of 16 who had not already been jabbed.

London bus driver deaths from Covid-19 could have been prevented

An earlier national lockdown at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic could have prevented the deaths of London bus drivers, a new report has found. The TfL-commissioned report from University College London’s Institute of Health Equity found that, of the 27 London bus drivers who died between March and May 2020, 22 of them probably caught the virus before lockdown measures were introduced on March 23.
