Free exhibition REFRAME: The Residency at the Southbank Centre
Eighty emerging artists have been chosen to present their work at a free exhibition at the Southbank Centre.
REFRAME: The Residency, supports black and black mixed heritage creatives, in an effort to dismantle the systemic barriers black creatives face in the arts and creative industries.
The Thamesside arts venue will host this group of pioneering artists as part of Planet Summer, their multi-form art season raising awareness around climate change.
The Residency is led by tutors who are established artists, including Holly-Marie Cato, Caleb Femi and Tayyib Mahmood.
The programme aims to inspire future generations to participate in building a cultural legacy for the UK and ensure creative industries become more representative and diverse.
The exhibition opens at the Southbank Centre on July 18.
