Soprano Carly Paoli joined forces with The Brit School to sing at awards event

Classical soprano Carly Paoli joined forces with students from a Croydon performing arts school to sing at an awards event for individuals doing great things.

Ms Paoli and students from Year 13 of the Musical Theatre Strand at The BRIT School wowed the audience at The British Citizen’s Awards in Church House Westminster, hosted by Tim Vincent.

The Awards honour “individuals doing great things,” and recipients are nominated for a BCA for their work in various categories including volunteering, healthcare and the BCyA for Young Individuals.

Carly Paoli and the students opened the event with a performance of One Voice, a new arrangement of the Barry Manilow classic.

Featured on Carly’s new album Carly Paoli & Friends, One Voice was recorded with BRIT School students and the event provided the perfect platform to perform the song in a live setting.

Their performance was a rousing start to an evening that honoured individuals who can be considered the unsung heroes.
