Borough Market now tempts your taste buds seven days a week

Food lovers of South London will no doubt rejoice at the news that Borough Market is now open on Sunday as well.

It’s doing its best to promote the market as a supermarket alternative fully stocked with everything many expect from their weekly shop.

And if a seven-day operation still doesn’t afford customers time to pop down and shop, a range of recipe boxes has recently been launched.

Customers get high quality Borough Market ingredients to the door in exact quantities needed, with a handy recipe thrown in to keep even novice cooks on track in the kitchen.

Following the success of the Borough Market Online subscription and meal boxes, the new Recipe Boxes are perfect for entertaining guests, gifting to loved ones or celebrating special occasions.

Each of the recipes has been developed with Borough Market’s award-winning guest chefs and are exclusive to the Market, with many featuring in the best-selling ‘Borough Market Cookbook’.

Customers will be able to choose between five main meals each month, with meat, vegetarian and family/special occasion options.

There is also the opportunity to add one of three starters and a ready-made dessert from Humble Crumble, as well as wine and other essential products.

Every box is full of the freshest, chef quality produce, sourced daily from Borough Market’s top traders and customers will receive plenty of spare store cupboard products to recreate the recipes again.

The included recipe card also details the traders from which their produce has been sourced so they can purchase directly.

Main courses include; seared beef with asparagus stir-fry, roast chicken thighs with tarragon creme fraiche sauce (pictured), and baked aubergines and mozzarella.

Throw in one of the following starters: burrata with toasted seeds and olive oil, heritage tomatoes on tahini or potato gnocchi, truffle butter and wild mushrooms.

Prices range from £11.70 for starters and from £34.70 for main courses for two people.
