Food and drink festival comes to Dulwich Park this summer

BY PALOMA LACY

The UK’s ultimate foodie festival is only a few months away and it’s swinging by Dulwich Park from June 25-27.

Pub in the Park, created by Michelin-star chef Tom Kerridge, brings together some of the country’s best food and drink offerings and heads to South London for the first time this year.

Expect a socially-distanced festival of good food from restaurants you’ve long been meaning to try, artisanal producers, and live music from big names in music past and present.

Food from Kerridge’s two Michelin starred The Hand & Flowers, Atul Kochhar’s restaurants, including Vaasu and Sindhu, and locals like, Peckham’s The Begging Bowl.

There’ll also be musical performances from Basement Jaxx, Gabrielle, Roland Gift, Toploader, Beverley Knight, Brand New Heavies, and Soul II Soul.

More acts to be announced in the coming weeks. And the man behind the event is more than a little enthusiastic about festival.

Tom said: “After the year we’ve had, I think everyone deserves a good-knees up – and what better way to do it than Pub in the Park.

“We’re so excited to be doing what we do best, bringing back our feel-good festival to the towns we love and filling it with lush music and proper good food.”

Pub in the Park is throwing a party for key workers, by giving away 1,000 tickets to heroes in South London.

“Key workers have been the true superheroes of this pandemic, and we want to say thanks by offering 1,000 complimentary tickets in each of our towns so these superstars can let their hair down while enjoying some awesome music and lush grub.”

Tickets start at £20.00 for the family-friendly daytime session.
