Joia… setting the foodie scene alight

South London’s foodie scene is alight with the news of new opening, Joia.

Located on the 15th floor of art’otel London Battersea power station, it marks the first London opening of celebrated chef, Henrique Sá Pessoa.

A big name in his Portugal homeland, with two Michelin stars, diners can expect the flavours of Catalonia and Portugal.

Joia, which means jewel, serves a modern take on Iberian classics.

Starters of La Bomba de Lisbon – a croquette made with pesto and Alheira sausage, served with tomato and sofrito sauce are attracting diners.

For main course, Bacalhau à brás – salted cod with shoestring potatoes, parsley, black olive served with a raw egg yolk is mixed tableside for added culinary flair.
