Royal Watch: Inside Prince Harry and Meghan’s glam trip to Jamaica

By Sarah Tetteh

He’s come a long way from South London’s Buckingham Palace, and Prince Harry is certainly making the most of his days in the sunshine.

He jetted off to Jamaica as a guest of honour at the Bob Marley: One Love premiere, a film celebrating the reggae legend’s life and legacy.

They certainly picked the best time to be in Jamaica –  they were there for Reggae Month and were shown the finest the country had to offer courtesy of the Jamaica Tourist Board.

They were in for a treat with colourful church choirs raising the roof, and could let their hair down at the Dancehall dos, street parties and yacht parties. The stunning Reggae Orchestra entertained the visitors, who also could learn about Jamaica’s rich culture at the Reggae Open University.  There were charismatic speeches by the minister of tourism to look forward to, as well as Bob Marley’s son Julian Marley taking part in a musical tribute to his late dad.  Oh, and plenty of the finest Wray and Nephew rum on tap. Can’t beat it!
