Children’s theatre adds six online shows in response to pandemic
A theatre for children has re-released some of their favourite online productions this winter for free.
In response to the current pandemic situation, Unicorn Theatre in Southwark has added six shows to their website.
These include The Bolds (pictured above), a festive show based on the much-loved children’s books by Julian Clary.
This hilarious, joyful show for children aged six and over is about a family of hyenas living in Teddington.

Also available to watch at home is Let Loose, a joyful dance experience created in partnership with English National Ballet.
For younger children, Huddle tells the moving tale of a daddy penguin and his new chick learning to thrive in spite of the odds.
Narrated by Madeline Appiah, this new digital theatre experience uses instrumental music and hand drawn animation to bring this atmospheric, snow-filled story to life.

Other shows available online are Marvin’s Binoculars, Anansi and the Spider Re-spun and Story Seekers.
The theatre said: “At this time, we feel it’s more important than ever that children have access to creative, imaginative and hopeful theatre experiences – and by sharing them for free, we hope that as many young people as possible will get the chance to watch and enjoy our work.”
