Portobello Market opens on Sundays throughout the summer
Portobello Market will be opening on Sundays throughout the summer to provide an extra day for visitors and residents to shop and enjoy until August 7.
The Sunday markets will see stalls featuring food, antiques, vintage clothes, home accessories and more, as traders welcome customers all weekend long.
Portobello Road will also be closed to traffic on Sundays while the market is on, extending the existing road closure during standard market operating hours for a car-free shopping experience.
Kensington and Chelsea councillor Josh Rendell, said: “As one of the top outdoor shopping and visitor destinations in the world, Portobello Market is especially bustling during the summer months so it’s a great opportunity to welcome people over the whole weekend.”
Also returning this year is New Youthquake 2022; a special market on Sunday, July 17, where traders aged 18-30 have the opportunity to set up their own stall.
New Youthquake runs along Portobello Road and anyone with a unique or quality product to sell can apply to trade, providing a platform for budding creatives and entrepreneurs in the borough.
