18-year-old in hospital after being stabbed in Lewisham

An 18-year-old man has been stabbed after being believed to be a party in Lewisham this weekend.

Police were called at approximately midnight on Saturday, November 27, to reports of a man stabbed on Alpha Road, New Cross.

The 18-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains. His condition is not life threatening.

An investigation was launched by officers from the South East CID.

Detectives believe that the man had been at a party in the area prior to him being attacked.

This party was attended by a large number of people and officers are keen to speak to any attendees who may have witnessed anything suspicious.

Detective Constable Lottie Williams, leading the investigation, said: “It is really important that we speak to anyone who attended the same party as the victim to fully understand the sequence of events that let up to this incident.

“You can share what you know anonymously via independent charity Crimestoppers who won’t record any personal caller information. Please get in touch however you feel comfortable and tell us what you know.”
