A great night out with Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet (HSYD)
Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet has choreographer-led dance routines such as the Carwash, Love Train and Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet after which the party night takes its name, to get everyone into the groove.
South London mum-of-two Nikki Spencer, who lives in Hither Green, started HSDY eight years ago, when she was in her late 40s.
She wanted to be able to go out dancing without feeling like she was gate-crashing one of her teenage daughters’ parties.
HSDY! is aimed at people aged 30, 40 and 50+ and offers an unashamedly retro night for people who remember the tunes first time round and still want to party – and everyone else who loves a good boogie.
There is no lower or upper age limit. Twenty-year-olds are welcome as well.
Nikki said: “The fact is people don’t stop wanting to go out dancing when they hit their late 30s, 40 and 50s and the success of HSDY goes to show that.
“Some even bring their grown-up kids, or vice versa. It is such a great night out and all ages love it.”
Nikki gives 10 per cent of profits from HSDY nights to Cancer Research UK.
Both her parents have had cancer.
