Arrests made over wave of robberies in bookies in Battersea, Bromley and Croydon
Detectives from the Met’s Flying Squad have charged two men with 19 armed raids on bookies in South London.
Cameron Weston, 29, of Balfern Street, Battersea, and Nathan Ugbaja, 29, of Gypsy Hill, were arrested on Friday, 25 May.
They were charged on Saturday, 26 May. There were 19 bookmaker robberies and one of another commercial premises, which all took place in Battersea, Croydon and Bromley.
Both men were kept in custody to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 28 May.
Weston was remanded in custody and Ugbaja was remanded on bail; both to appear at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, 22 June.
