Author on ‘plant-friendly’ lifestyle happily shares her philosophy

The author of  a book entitled the “The Joyful Environmentalist” gave an attentive audience some thoughts about her green-focused world view last week.

Isabel Losada was invited to St Mark’s Church, Wimbledon, by Juliet Boyd, organiser for Wimbledon Green Churches, on Friday.

The author, comedienne and environmentalist explores the way we bank, heat our homes, travel, garden, dress, holiday, shop, lobby, volunteer, eat and furnish our homes.

She claims that all actions we can take to help our planet, are also those which will most enrich our lives.

Isabel sends her audience away with a notebook full of ideas, suggestions and actions to be taken. Her single minded focus is on all the solutions we can find and enjoy.

Isabel said: “I was delighted to be invited to speak to the Wimbledon Green Churches Group, who I found to be very knowledgeable and well informed on everything, from ethical banking and the joys of slow travel to the varieties of plants we need to plant in our gardens to support our biodiversity.

“They even knew which energy suppliers have a genuine commitment to sustainable energy and which are just greenwashing us.  The churches in Wimbledon are definitely ahead of the curve.”

She will be at the Hay Festival, Hay-on-Wye, Powys, Wales, this year.
