A care agency has supported a breast cancer fundraising event by providing cakes and wearing pink.
The live-in care agency, Bluebird Care Merton, supported the “Wear It Pink” day on October 23, to help raise money for life-saving breast cancer research.
Based in Mitcham, the agency has 10 office staff and around 50 “out in the field” care assistants.
The Wear it Pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, run by Breast Cancer Now and Breast Cancer Care.
Bluebird Care specialises in working with people who live with dementia, physical disabilities and many other chronic conditions.
Jay Patel, Director of Bluebird Care Merton, said: “Breast cancer can have devastating effects on the individual, families and friends.
“Research is vital and fundraising for breast cancer research could truly help save lives. Bluebird Care is one hundred per cent behind the campaign.”
