BREAKING: Car crashes into primary school leaving several people injured

A car has crashed into a primary school this morning leaving several people injured.

The vehicle collided what what is believed to be The Study Preparatory School in Camp Road, Wimbledon.

Several people are being treated at the scene, the Met confirmed. It is not known if children specifically have been injured or how many people are injured.

The London Fire Brigade confirmed it is at the scene assisting emergency services.

We are currently supporting emergency services at an incident at a school in Wimbledon.

Merton Police wrote on Twitter: “Officers are responding to an incident at a primary school in Camp Road, Wimbledon.

“We were called at 9.54am to reports that a car collided with a building at the school. Several people are being treated at the scene. We will share further updates when we can.”
