BREXIT: What does it mean for South London? And where to see the effects of migration – and the reasons for it

Brexit is here – and whether you like it or not, it will have an effect on South London.

More than two-thirds of the population south of the Thames voted to remain in the EU, but a 52 per cent majority of British people wanted to leave.

So the day has arrived – even if our future is uncertain and will depend on the trade deals which Britain does with Europe, the US and countries around the globe.

In today’s South London Press we look at how many overseas citizens are still to apply to stay; and at the museum about moving across borders which you can visit on your weekly shop. The leader of one council also says Europeans will always be welcome in his borough.

The South London Press is free in libraries, rail stations and other drop-off points throughout our area. Or you can read our digital edition online: https://edition.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/digitaleditions.aspx?tab=0&pid=86f57ab1-6d54-4d4c-b610-8e30b25bc25e#
