Firefighters demonstrate how they cut a casualty from a vehicle at London Fire Brigade open day

Firefighters from a London Fire Brigade (LFB) station will demonstrate how they cut a casualty from a vehicle at an upcoming open day.

On May 27, Wimbledon Fire Station will be opening its doors to the public for its annual open day. The event will run from noon until 5pm.

Firefighters will be on hand to offer free home fire safety advice to the public and allow access to their firefighting appliances.

There will be a road traffic collision demonstration where crews will cut a live casualty from a vehicle as well as other exhibits and attractions.

Among them, a chance to win a signed match ball from AFC Wimbledon, Chelsea and Brentford FC, and a pass to the All England Club Museum and entry to a raffle to raise funds for the Firefighters Charity.
