Footage of white Range Rover released in hunt for killers of ‘mistaken identity’ shooting Alexander Kareem

Police have released footage of a white Range Rover they believe was involved in the mistaken identity shooting of a computer whizz.

Alexander Kareem was fatally shot in Askew Road, Shepherd’s Bush, on June 8.

The footage shows the vehicle driving away from the scene two minutes after the shooting at 12.40am.

It passed Turnham Green Tube station, before making its way down Chiswick High Road and turning into Heathfield Terrace.

The vehicle was found burned out in Ascott Avenue 25 minutes after the first call to police.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may recognise the vehicle or knows who was driving it, before, or after, the attack.

A vast CCTV trawl has taken place to track its movement across London.

Alexander’s family continue to appeal for witnesses, or those with information, to get in touch with police call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, from Specialist Crime, said: “Today marks a month since Alexander was tragically shot, in what we now believe to be a case of mistaken identity.

“The month has seen officers working round the clock to locate those who have committed this horrendous crime.

“Officers have been analysing hours of CCTV from across London, and we hope these clips will help those who may have been in the area or seen this vehicle before to come forward with what they know.

“Alexander’s family continue to be in our thoughts and we are determined to help them get justice.”
