Man in court on drugs and gun charges

A man has appeared in court charged with firearms and drugs offences.

Bryn Cowles, 53, of Love Lane, Morden was charged on Sunday with three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of possession of a class B drug.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court yesterday where he was bailed to attend Kingston Crown Court on May 1.

The charges follow an arrest made on Saturday by officers from the South West Command Unit’s Tasking Team.
