Man killed and sixteen-year-old wounded in Croydon knife attack
One man in his 20s has been killed and a teenager has been left injured following an attack in Croydon.
Two men, also in their 20s, have now been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 22-year-old Lavaun Witter.
Tyreece Riggon, 20, of Armistice Gardens and Julian Russell, 22, of Sanfield Road, were arrested last Thursday.
Police were called to a residential address in Wisbeach Road, just after 8pm on Friday, February 5.
Officers attended, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, and found Lavaun (pictured) suffering from a stab wound.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene an hour later.
A 16-year-old male was stabbed during the same incident and was taken to hospital where his injuries were found to be non-life threatening.
On Friday, February 19, both men were charged with the murder of Lavaun Witter and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm of a 16-year-old male.
Detectives investigating the case believe there may be further suspects and continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone who has information that could help their investigation to come forward.
