Police release image of man sought over rape of teenage girl in Tooting this morning
Police have released an image of a man they are hunting over an allegation of rape in Merton.
Police were called shortly after 7am to the North Place area on Tuesday, 3 November. A teenage girl is being supported by specialist officers.
A crime scene was in place stretching to nearby Singleton Close.
Local officers are carrying out increased patrols in the area.

Detective Inspector Laura Semple, of the South West Command Unit, said: “The victim and her family are receiving support from specially trained officers.
“We have released an image of a man we would like to speak to and urge anyone who can help us trace him to contact police immediately.”
A police is investigation is underway and people are asked to please be mindful of sharing information via social media that could identify the alleged victim, or affect any potential future proceedings.
Locals are linking the incident to in in 2016 where a woman was sexually assaulted at about 1pm on Friday, April 15, in Heyford Road, Mitcham.
The suspect has been described as a slim black man, 5ft 8in and aged between 16 and 20.
He was seen wearing a dark hooded jacket with dark trousers and trainers and a gold JD sports bag over his shoulder.
Any witnesses or those who have information on the latest incident in North Place that could assist police is asked to call 101 ref CAD V184/20.
