A new chief executive of a town hall is welcomed this month.
Hannah Doody (pictured) has been formally confirmed as the new Chief Executive of the London Borough of Merton at a full council meeting, and took on her new role on July 7.
Ms Doody is taking over the new position from Ged Curran who is retiring after 17 years.
Ms Doody has been Director of Community and Housing at the council for the past four years.
Councillor Mark Allison, Leader of the Council, said: “We are delighted to confirm Hannah’s appointment.
“Not only has she delivered outstanding leadership to our critical social care services during the past four years, but she has helped us protect vital services like libraries, and shown her leadership qualities during the fight against Covid-19, both in Merton, and in a range of high-profile pan-London roles.”

Ged Curran who is retiring after 17 years.
He was a complete failure, who took a day off every month to recover from stress.
He now has plenty of time to count his money and reflect on his incompetence.
Another serial failure has replaced him.
